Southern Carmine Bee-eater

Description:

The Southern Carmine Bee-eater (Merops nubicoides) is closely related to the Northern Carmine Bee-eater (Merops nubicus) where the throat is blue (instead of carmine).
The Northern Carmine Bee-eater occurs as far south as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Kenya, in which countries the Southern Carmine Bee-eater also occurs.
