The Orange-fronted Parakeet (Euspittula canicularis) occurs throughout western Central America, from Mexico to north-western Costa Rica.
It was formerly placed in the genus Aratinga.
Male and female adult Orange-fronted Parakeets are similar looking with a wide orange frontal band on the forehead.
It has al blue forecrown and a pale olive throat and breast.
The bill is whitish and it has a yellow eye ring.
Young birds are similar to adults, but with much less orange on the forehead.
Adults have a yellow eye while juveniles have a brown eye.
