Loggerhead Kingbird

Description:

The Loggerhead Kingbird (Tyrannus caudifasciatus) is found on the islands of the northern Caribbean.
The Loggerhead Kingbird has seven subspecies, each endemic to one or more Caribbean islands.
For example, there is one on the island of Cuba (Cuban Kingbird - Tyrannus caudifasciatus caudifasciatus), on Jamaica (Jamaican Kingbird - Tyrannus caudifasciatus jamaicensis) and on Puerto Rico (Puerto Rican Kingbird - Tyrannus caudifasciatus taylori).
The Puerto Rican subspecies has been proposed as a separate species, the Puerto Rican Kingbird (Tyrannus taylori).
