Japanese Five-lined Skink

Description:

The Japanese Five-lined Skink (Plestiodon japonicus) is very similar to the Far Eastern Skink (Plestiodon latiscutatus).
However, the latter is only found in the Izu Islands and Izu Peninsula of central Japan, whereas Plestiodon japonicus is found over the entire main island group of Japan, except the Izu Peninsula.
