Dotted Border

Description:

The Dotted Border male has a distinctive row of black dots along the trailing edge of the wings.
With a lot of other Geometrid moths, the females of the Dotted Border are also completely wingless.

Although flight time can start in January and last until the end of April, you will see the greatest numbers from mid-February to mid-March.
The Dotted Border is quite common in the Netherlands.

Caught in my self made moth trap.

In my yard, Hilversum, The Netherlands, 22 February 2021
