Brown Tree Snake

Description:

The Brown Tree Snake (Boiga irregularis) is a long, slender build nocturnal snake with a broad head and large cat-like eyes.
They are orange to brown on top with numerous dark irregular bands or specks from head to tail tip.
It is mildly venomous but generally considered not dangerous to humans because it is rear-fanged species.
They can grow up to 2 meters in length.
Brown Tree Snakes live throughout the northern Australian tropics and down the eastern coast as far as the Sydney area.

I found this individual on the grass during a night walk on the Lodge grounds.
