The Blue-bordered Carpet (wingspan: 22–28 mm) inhabits woodland, damp areas and gardens, and feeds on a range of trees and bushes, including alder (Alnus glutinosa) and blackthorn (Prunus spinosa).
It is widely distributed through most of Holland.
