Bat Falcon

Description:

While I was walking around in this area I noticed a distant bird sitting on top of a dead tree.
I slowly and carefully approached it and when I got closer I thought - at first - that it was an Orange-breasted Falcon but when I got up to the tree I realized it was a Bat Falcon.
I finally ended up at the base of the tree where I got great looks at it.

As indicated, the Bat Falcon looks very similar to the larger Orange-breasted Falcon.
However, the Orange-breasted Falcon has an unusually large beak, usually a more fierce expression and its primaries just pass the tip of the tail whereas the primaries of the Bat Falcon do not reach the tip of the tail (clearly shown on the 3rd and 4th photo).
