Amastus coccinator (Tiger Moth sp.)

Description:

According to Michel Laguerre, an expert on Neotropical Arctiidae butterflies, this is likely Amastus coccinator, a common species between 1500 - 2500 meter, but it should be noted that it is difficult to make a 100% identification from just a photo.
