22-spot Ladybird

Description:

The 22-spot Ladybird is the brightest of the yellow ladybirds.
It always has 22 spots, which rarely join up.
The 22-spot Ladybird is a very small ladybird: 3 - 4.5 mm.
There are two colour varieties; one where the pronotum (neck or head shield) is yellow, the other where it is white.
Unlike most other ladybirds which feed on plant lice, the 22-spot Ladybird eats mildew.
